Shugo~! [Saturday 07/19/08 - 3:49pm] iruy Oshinari Shugo came to Kurashiki AEON today 8OOOOOOO I'm sure most of you have seen him before! He's been in Yamada Taro as the "gay" guy and in Maou as Toma's friend. He's a pretty quiet person and he seemed bored since most Kurashiki people aren't "norinori" -_-" Usually, stars do not come to the 'inaka' side of Japan so this was surprising. When we were allowed to ask questions, my mom quickly raised her hand and ask 3 questions in a row with a REALLY loud voice -_-" One of her questions was if he ever got embarrassed acting a certain charater. He replied with a yes, in Yamada Taro's, as a guy who likes a guy LOL He gave out 3 signed boards and took a picture with a customer and signed the pic. I couldn't take a pic of him because it wasn't allowed but I tried to take a pic of him when he was leaving but the people around me were SLOW! I was amazed by how these guys rarely talk about how hideous their frocks are. Well they are pros after all but really it must be so hard not to talk about those. Thank heavens Sho decided to open his mouth. Really someone shoot the JE stylists NOW. XDD According to the translation of the August 2008 Wink Up done by jliann: When it comes to parade costumes, we all have our own outfits. But no matter how I look at it, my outfit is… well, I call it a “frilled lizard”, and Ninomiya calls it “A ‘Bravo, Sho-san!’ kinda outfit.” I’d say that even under normal circumstances, but with me coming out last… it’s like I’ve become the punch line of the parade And plus, directly in front of me is Ohno-san on his Bubble Float, sending bubbles in all directions. So there I’d be in my frilled lizard suit, with bubbles flying at me… pretty awful, huh? Harsh. Those costumes in the Love So Sweet parade were absolutely harsh. I feel your pain Sho-san. I really do. Nino looked like a walking garden. Aiba was about to be eaten alive by the ruffles. I can't quite remember Jun's and Ohno's costumes but Sho looked like a gay evil wizard or something. No not lizard but that frilled lizard thing description could work too. Were they trying to top the cutesy floats (which I liked actually)? Oh stylists. Little Girl on the Shinkansen [Saturday 07/12/08 - 9:17am] hypergrafia [ mood | busy ] [ music | Odore - Micro ] I've been going back to the photographs I took in Japan almost 3 years ago. I took quite a number, although I wish that I took more. And that I took more photographs purposefully. And that I wish that I took more photographs purposefully with a better camera. It's a lot of linked wishes, indeed. But if you read between the lines, it would make you come to the conclusion that the real wish behind all these linked-wishes is my GREAT desire to return to Japan again. If and when I go back to Japan, I will definitely take photographs. And I will take more photographs. Hundreds upon hundreds of them. This time more with more thought, composition and purpose and not just random, sometimes accidental shots. And of course, I'll take photographs with a better camera (because I have a better camera now and probably even better this time tomorrow) For sure, I cannot return to the past and undo all these missed opportunities. However, I can dream and work for a future which I can be better at---That is the philosophy behind my GREAT wish to return to Japan, and it's also my general philosophy about life. A number of people have asked me, "Why Japan?" --usually asked with disdainful, scornful, spiteful, condescending looks like I'm some weird creature of sorts. These people ignorantly associate Japan with anime and just anime; like it's bad to enjoy anime. *(For the record, I'm not into anime. I appreciate and respect the art, but I grew out of it after 3rd year high school)* I reply, usually with sarcastic-sweet-wit fueling it, "Why not Japan?" If I may say so bluntly, it's a VERY stupid question to ask. ------The answer will simply revolve around preference. Some people love New York, San Francisco, Barcelona, Sydney, Paris, London or Toronto, etc. etc... (Whatever floats their boat). It just so happens that the place I love is Japan: Kyoto and Osaka in particular. Probably, the better question to ask is: "What draws you to Japan?" You'll hear a better and lengthier answer from me, or even from any other person you ask the question: "What draws you to *insert place here*?" You know, it's interesting to note how phrasing a question can foster friendship, discourage/turn off individuals, or piss the crap out of a person. It's even more curious to think about, how the phrasing of the question, actually reveals the true intention of the one who asks. We take it for granted, but really, choosing the right words and having the right intention, when we inquire to whomever [for whatever reason], matter very much. It's like my current state in university life where the ability to multi-task is paramount. Somehow things seem to be lax these days but the papers that have to be written, the reports that have to be researched are peeking out of the recesses of my mind. Good thing I have better coping skills after my mini-breakdown last month and I'm continually getting things done while fangirling to keep my sanity intact somehow. Oh and yes I'm on what I call "stalk Rafael Nadal" mode *lol* because of the feature article we have to write on the guy for Sports Journalism class. Since I hardly know anything about tennis I am googling my ass off right now. Oh the internet. You not only provide me shiny Japanese idols. You give me so much useless useful information. So what to flail over?? There's so much that I don't quite know where to start. For now I have two things...
